Barcelona have launched a search for a replacement for French striker Osman Dembele, who is expected to join Paris Saint-Germain in the coming hours, in exchange for the latter paying a €50m penalty clause in the player’s contract with the Catalan side.
And according to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, Manchester City winger Bernardo Silva received a promise from his manager Pep Guardiola that included approval of his move to Barcelona if the right offer came up.
The Catalan newspaper has said that Barcelona will be hard at work in the coming days to settle a deal with Bernardo Silva following the departure of Osman Dembele.
And a newspaper close to Barcelona has confirmed that Bernardo Silva’s priority is to wear the Blaugrana shirt, as it is his childhood dream to ease the transition.
Barcelona are expected to make a formal bid for Manchester City to sign Bernardo Silva in the coming hours.
According to the Catalan newspaper Sport, the offer that Barcelona are considering if some of its financial problems are resolved will include a fixed amount of 65 million euros.
In addition, €10 million worth of add-ons and incentives will be included in the offer, meaning the total deal will be around €75 million.
Barcelona will also try to work hard to ensure that the price of the deal with Bernardo Silva is paid in installments, according to the Sport newspaper.
28-year-old Bernardo Silva is one of the most important elements of Manchester City, who led the team to victory last season, namely the FA Cup, Premier League and Champions League.
