Brighton boss Graham Potter has recommended that midfielder Yves Bissouma is focussed on succeeding at the club amidst speculation on his future.
The 24-year-old– who joined the Seagulls in 2018 for a fee in the region of ₤ 15m– has a contract at the club till 2023.
He has been very remarkable this season and has captured the attention of a number of heavyweight Premier League clubs consisting of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Potter has claimed that Brighton have not gotten any offers for the midfielder, and in turn has questioned the dependability of the media.
Bissouma has been among the most constant entertainers for Brighton this season, and has started in each of the 13 top-flight games.
“There have been no approaches. As I’ve said before, just because it’s in the newspaper, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s true,” stated Potter as priced estimate bySky Sports
” My focus on Yves is how I can assist him enhance and I think he’s still got some enhancement to do.
“That’s my focus with him, to try and help him reach his full potential. He’s got some work to do yet, so that’s what we are focusing on.”
Brighton are defending survival this season and sit 2 points above the relegation zone.
Bissouma– who has made 70 appearances in all competitions for Brighton– is a very good player however he is far from the ended up item. Potter is dead-on that he still has got some enhancement to do, which he is not poised for an impending departure far from Amex Arena.
Liverpool are choc-a-bloc with world-class midfielders and stockpiling on that position does not make good sense, specifically in January.
Signing a defender is a concern for the Reds next month to cover the loss of Joe Gomez and Virgil van Dijk through injuries. It will be intriguing to see if the Reds at all make an
