Brentford could part ways with controversial striker Ivan Toney in the near future, according to manager Thomas Frank. But for this to happen, there must be a suitable offer for its services.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Frank was asked about the difficulties of retaining top players at a club like Brentford and admitted that the Bees are a selling club, adding that every club in the world falls into that category, with the possible exception of several.
“Every club in the world is for sale, with the exception of five or six clubs,” Frank said.
“We are a selling club if the price is right.”
When asked if this applies to Ivan Toney, he replied: “Yes, I think so. I understand why there are a lot of rumors about him. I think he’s one of the best strikers; Being number 9, I don’t see many people who would be better.
