Real Madrid are on the lookout for a new striker and according to Fabrizio Romano, one of the four or five options currently being considered is Roberto Firmino. So far, there have been no contacts between Los Blancos and Firmino’s camp, only internal negotiations at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Brazilian will leave Liverpool on a free transfer after playing against Southampton at St Mary’s on Sunday in the final round of the Premier League season. Merseysiders, especially manager Jurgen Klopp, were reportedly interested in him staying put, but he apparently decided it was time to look for a new challenge and he has already said goodbye to the Anfield loyalists.
Given his undeniable qualities, the 31-year-old would certainly be a strong sign for any club and even if Real Madrid decide to show interest, it remains to be seen if he would be willing to move there.
Excluded: Roberto Firmino, one of the names considered by Real Madrid – no talks at the moment, only Bobby’s internal discussions. 🚨⚪️🇧🇷 #Real Madrid
