FC Barcelona Triumphs Over Arch Rival Real Madrid in Women’s Classic

Barcelona women defeated their Real Madrid counterparts in El Clasico, scoring five unanswered goals in matchday nine of the Spanish Football League.

Star Aitana Bonmatti opened the scoring in the 17th minute, then Caroline Hansen doubled the lead in the 43rd minute and Mariona Caldente added a third goal in the 45th minute.

In the second half, the Catalan club added two goals thanks to Claudia Pena (90+1) and Vicky Lopez (90+4).

With this victory, Barcelona extended its lead in the league by a full 27 points from 9 rounds, and increased the gap between itself and second-placed Real Madrid to 6 points.
