Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic and head coach Marco Silva will no longer be penalized after the FA’s appeal to extend their suspension was rejected.
Mitrovic was suspended for eight games for pushing referee Chris Kavanagh during Fulham’s 3-1 FA Cup quarter-final defeat to Manchester United last month.
Silva was suspended for two matches after being sent off in the same game for inappropriate behavior and use of “obscene and offensive” language.
The FA said the penalties imposed by the independent regulatory commission were “clearly insufficient” and merited an extension.
But on Friday, the governing body confirmed that his appeal had been denied, meaning Silva could return to the touchline and Mitrovic would return for Fulham’s final three games.
Mitrovic and Silva last month apologized for their actions.
Fulham’s last three Premier League games include a trip to Old Trafford on 28 May.
