FA Cup. Leicester City and Leeds to fifth round

Leicester City advanced to the fifth round of the FA Cup after beating Walsall from the fourth tier 1-0 on Saturday, while Leeds United advanced to the same round at the expense of Accrington Stanley from the third tier 3-1.

Leicester waited until the 68th minute to score the winning goal thanks to Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho.

Iheanacho is a specialist in cup competitions, having scored 17 goals in 23 matches since 2016, which is the best record in this area in this period.

In the second leg, Leeds opened the scoring from afar thanks to Jack Harrison in the 23rd minute.

The English Premier League’s fourteenth man secured a logical second-half victory after two goals from Spain’s Junior Firpo and Colombia’s Luis Sinistera in the 66th and 68th minutes respectively, before young Irishman Leslie Adecoya scored the honorary goal against Accrington. Stanley in the 81st minute.

Leicester and Leeds join Manchester City, who opened the list of matchday 5 finalists with an important 1-0 win over league leaders Arsenal on Friday.
