Calderón said in a statement to Ontime Sports today, Monday: “Al Ahly is a team with a great history that is the Century Club in Africa.”

And he continued: “The Al-Ahly match will be very difficult. I can’t predict the result. We have to be realistic. In our history, there is no team that wins, but rather with a good game, so the one who performs better wins, but I I hope Real Madrid win.”

And he said: “The absence of Real Madrid will negatively affect the team in the match with Al-Ahly, but at the same time they are a great team, no matter who plays in the starting lineup.”

Real Madrid are expected to skip the Real Madrid ranks to face Al Ahli in the Club World Cup: Thibault Courtois, Karim Benzema, Militao, Eden Hazard, Ferland Mendy and Lucas Vazquez.

The president of Real Madrid from 2006 to 2009 concluded his speech by saying: “I expect the Moroccan fans to support Al Ahly against Real Madrid, because Morocco and Egypt are Arabs and Africans.”
