    Former France international Emmanuel Petit thinks that Bruno Fernandes has currently had the effect Manchester United hoped Paul Pogba would have at Old Trafford.

    Former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Emmanuel Petit has stated that Bruno Fernandes has had the kind of effect at Manchester United that the club hoped Paul Pogba would have.

    Fernandes just showed up at Old Trafford in January however has currently played more games than Pogba this season, with the Frenchman restricted to just 8 trips throughout all competitions.

    Pogba has signed up just 2 assists because time, whereas Fernandes has 3 goals and 4 assists in his 9 games, and Petit has credited the Portuguese playmaker with altering the mindset at the club.

    “Fernandes has made a huge impact. In the space of two months he is the best buy in the winter market. He has made such a big impact. It’s like he’s been at the club for six years,” Petit informed The Mirror.

    ” He’s altered the mindset inside the dressing space. It’s hard for a player to come in mid-season and do that. Paul Pogba was implied to be doing this at Manchester United. It’s what he must have carried out in regards to management on the pitch.

    “But I’m looking forward to seeing them together on the pitch, I want to see if that can work, and I’m pretty sure it can work.”

    Pogba has been greatly linked with a move far from United when the transfer window resumes as Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain monitor his situation.
