Demanding Suspension of Spanish Championship Due to Match Error

Spanish club Cadiz have released an official statement calling for a temporary suspension of Spanish league competition following a mistake against Elche last January in the local competition.

Cadiz fell into the trap of a draw against his colleague Elche, scoring one goal from each of them in a match that brought them together last January 16, which caused a lot of controversy on the Spanish football street.

Club Cadiz discovered that the goal he scored against Elche during the match was due to a clear offside, but video technology did not intervene to cancel the goal, causing the team to lose two points.

A mistake in the match against Elche angered the Cadiz club against the Referee Committee of the Spanish League, because of which they demanded a temporary suspension of La Liga.

In an official statement released by Cadiz on his website, he announced that he would appeal to the Administrative Court for Sport, which is the highest sports court in Spain.

In an official statement, the Spanish club also called on La Liga to halt league competition until the crisis over the match against Elche is resolved.

Whereas Kadesh emphasized in his statement the need to repeat the last 9 minutes of his confrontation with Elche, as the result at that time was his progress with an unanswered goal, and this is not counting Elche’s goal in the match.

Cadiz is struggling to avoid relegation as they sit in 16th place with 25 points, two points behind Valencia, the closest relegation centre.

While Elche have already stepped into the second division, they have 9 points in the 20th and the last place from a single victory in the first 23 rounds.
