Before the start of the January transfer window, there were reports that Arsenal were interested in signing Jesper Lindström from Eintracht Frankfurt in Frankfurt. Now German journalist Florian Plettenberg says there is still interest from the Gunners, but the race for the player’s favors has become more interesting as Liverpool are also poised to attack.
Leading the race for the Premier League title at the moment, Arsenal don’t have much to tinker with, but need to increase the depth of the squad, especially in midfield – something they’ve been trying to do since last summer. certainly makes sense for future tasks. Liverpool, on the other hand, are in need of a complete overhaul of their midfield section, with three players from the department set to leave Anfield at the end of the season and others falling far behind this season.
Eintracht are apparently open to selling the 23-year-old Danish international who has made 31 appearances in all competitions this season, expecting a fee in the region of €50m, but they could settle for less.
❗️X News #Lindstrom: Liverpool are very interested! Close to Arsenal. Recall that in the summer both clubs have already contacted Frankfurt about the transfer. #SGE bosses are open to let him go. Expected price: 50 million euros. Realistically: 35-40 million euros. Poker has begun. #exercise #AFK @SkySportDE 🇩🇰 pic.twitter.com/Qwh2LSfxxu
