    Vinicius Junior sparked controversy after Wednesday night’s Champions League quarter-final match between Spanish side Real Madrid and English counterpart Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

    The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, the stronghold of the Royal Club, witnessed the course of the marathon match against the Blues, which ended with two goals in favor of the home team, scored by Karim Benzema and Asensio.

    Brazilian star Vinicius Junior, striker for Los Blancos Castle, spoke at a press conference after his side’s match against his Chelsea counterpart, saying: “We wanted to score more goals.”

    He continued: “We played very well, this is one of the best matches this season, but we still have a long way to go.”

    He added: “Players who wear this shirt know that playing in the Champions League is special here.”

    He continued: “We had a lot of space and we always want to score more goals. We know how difficult it is to play the second leg away, so we wanted to score more.”

    And about his fitness, he stated: “I train with Bentos, I train at home with my trainers to get to this stage of the season.”

    And he added: “If you play in Madrid, you must have the desire to get into the Champions League.”

    While renewing his contracts, he explained, “I hope to sign a contract that will keep me here forever. Real Madrid is the best club in the world.”

    And the Brazilian star concluded: “I see myself at my best to win many Champions League titles like Benzema.”
