    Coach of Egyptian team Al-Ahly shares his thoughts on team’s win against Tunisian Esperance

    Al Ahli manager Marcel Köhler of Switzerland thought his team had “comfortably” beat Esperance de Tunis in the second leg of Friday’s CAF Champions League semi-final.

    Asked about the expected qualifier final between Moroccan Wydad and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns (0-0 in the first leg), Koller said: “We don’t know who will make it to the final and whoever the opponent is, we will prepare for it. with analysis and learning.

    “I am pleased with the current level of the team, as we play good football, and this is what the players showed at the control level,” added the club’s coach, who is the champion of the continental championship (10), and who will play the sixteenth final in his history.

    “The first match of the final will be in Cairo and therefore we will focus on it,” added the Swiss coach.

    Regarding the expectations of facing Mamelody Sun Downs and a rematch for a five-point loss to him in the group stage, Koller said: “I don’t have those feelings, but if he’s a contender in the final, we’ll try to beat him. and avoid what happened last time.”

    Al Ahli will meet their opponent in the final today as the Sun Downs host Wydad.
