The St. Louis City expansion team picked up three wins in three games to open their MLS debut campaign with a 2-1 win away at the Portland Timbers on Saturday.
The Missouri team became only the second expansion team in MLS history to start 3-0-0, with goals from Jared Stroud and Kyle Hiebert capping off another comeback victory.
Tall centre-back Zach McGraw gave Portland the lead in the third minute with a set-piece header by Eric Williamson.
Stroud scored his second goal of the season at half-time in a 1-1 draw from Rasmum Alma’s cross from the right.
Canadian defender Hiebert emerged victorious in the 75th minute when his header hit the net from a free-kick by Edouard Lowen.
Louis have won all three MLS games to date and are the only team to score nine points in three games.

Cincinnati pulled off a landslide victory despite being down to 10 in numbers with a 1–0 win over the Seattle Sounders.
Brenner scored the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute before a red card from Nick Hagglund in the 80th minute forced Cinsi to hold on against the Sounders, who won their first two games.
Joaquin Torres emerged victorious in the 90th minute with a long-range left foot kick to last season’s MLS Cup runners-up Philadelphia Union when they beat the nine-man Chicago Fire 1-0.
New York City took their first win of the new season after Christopher McVeigh’s own goal in the 36th minute in their 1-0 triumph over Inter Miami.
The New York Red Bulls’ winless start to the new season continued with a 1-1 draw in snowy conditions at Minnesota United, with Andres Reyes leading the 49th minute to equalize with the visitors.

Teenager Caleb Wylie scored a double with an assist as Atlanta United scored three first-half goals in a 3-0 away win over Charlotte that lost three in a row to open a new campaign.
Montreal were also scoreless after three games, losing 2-0 at Nashville, while Chris Durkin equalized in the 80th minute as DC United drew 1-1 against Orlando City. .
Toronto tied at home 1-1 with Columbus Crew, while Vancouver Whitecaps and Dallas finished the match with the same score.
Sporting KC and LA Galaxy drew 0-0, Austin won 2-1 at Real Salt Lake, and the 10-man SJ Earthquakes held onto Colorado Rapids by 1 :0 after a stunning strike from Christian Espinoza.
