Chelsea to enter Mudryk race?

0

Chelsea are considering a January strike for Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, according to The Guardian.

Mudryk has long been the subject of strong interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are even believed to have made an official starting offer for his services, believed to be €40m plus €20m add-ons, which the Ukrainian club rejected without a second thought. They have indicated, on more than one occasion, that their valuation of the player currently exceeds the €100m mark.

And as talks between Arsenal and Shakhtar continue, other clubs are obviously considering joining the race. Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has already shown that he doesn’t hesitate to spend big money in the transfer market, and if Arsenal hesitate too long, they could very well see Mudryk move to Stamford Bridge instead of the Emirates next month.

Chelsea are also reportedly pursuing a deal to sign midfielder Enzo Fernandez from Benfica, with Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister also considered.
