    Portuguese coach Luis Castro, head coach of the Saudi Arabian club An-Nasr, revealed the reasons for the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo at the match with Uhud as part of the Cup of the Custodians of the Two Holy Mosques.

    At the press conference after the match, Luis Castro said: “Ronaldo, Al-Ghanem and Brozevic were rested due to training camps in Japan, the Arab Championship, the Asian Championship and also because of league matches. “Today was the right opportunity to give them a rest.”

    He added: “A cup match is always difficult and brings surprises and that’s what we saw in the first half.”

    He emphasized: “We faced difficulties in the first half and could have played out the match then, but we were able to score goals and achieve our goals.”
