Portugal’s Cancelo has left Manchester City after a dispute arose between him and manager Pep Guardiola when he joined Bayern Munich on loan.
The difference between the player and his coach was that the Portuguese full-back got little time after the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The Portuguese breaks his silence
Canselu told the press, “I think a player is always a bit selfish, any player who wants to feel important wants to play and anyone who says otherwise is lying.”
And the Portuguese continued: “A competitive player like me not only wants to win titles, but wants to play. It’s not a matter of belittling my teammates, but I thought I deserved to play and he didn’t.”
“So we talked, it was a conversation, not a discussion, and we decided that it was best for me to leave this market,” he added.
“An opportunity that I couldn’t turn down, it was a mutual agreement, if City didn’t want it they wouldn’t let me leave because I have a contract.”
And the Portuguese added: “I am very professional. I have always given my face to all clubs. Yes, I have a difficult character, but I respect my colleagues and coaches at all times.”
Has Cancelo had an impact on Bayern?!
Cancelu has made 5 appearances for his new club since joining, starting with all but one, and has already had a direct impact on Bayern.
