Algerian club JS Kabylie lost to their Congolese host Vita Club unanswered on Saturday in the third round of the first group of the African Champions League.
Manas Mbdi scored the winning goal for Vita in the 65th minute.
Vita Club scored their first three points to equal Moroccan champions Wydad ahead of their showdown later this week, which was postponed due to the Moroccan champion’s participation in the Club World Cup.
On the other hand, JS Kabylie’s balance sheet has stalled at four points from three matches, but has kept the group lead on par with Angolan’s Petro Atlético, who also has four points.
