Free agent Cristiano Ronaldo will not join Bayern Munich, CEO Oliver Kahn says, despite admitting “we all love” the striker.
Portugal captain Ronaldo will be looking for a new club following his departure from Manchester United, less than 18 months after his return to Old Trafford.
With the striker firmly committed to the World Cup, his next steps are still unknown, though that hasn’t stopped him from being linked to a host of top teams around the world.
However, one club he won’t go to is Bayern, and Kahn reiterates that Ronaldo has no place in Julian Nagelsmann’s team.
“We’ve already dealt with this. [speculation]Kahn told Sky Sport Germany. “We have a clear idea, a clear philosophy of how our team should be put together.
“We all appreciate it, this is not a discussion. We all love Cristiano Ronaldo, but that doesn’t fit our idea.”

Kahn dodged rumors of Bayern’s longtime interest in England captain Harry Kane, with the Tottenham forward often mooted as a target.
“Of course he is a very good player, but there are many other very good players,” said Kahn. “I read it everywhere, Oliver Kahn and Harry Kane.
“We are dealing with a lot of players and you can’t talk about players signed to other clubs. We have a very good team that is doing a great job at the moment.”
Bayern are four points ahead of Freiburg in the Bundesliga and topped their Champions League group earlier this season with six wins in six games.
