RB Leipzig winger Dani Olmo was one of the players Barcelona considered as they looked to strengthen their attacking line at the end of the summer transfer window, as reported by Sport. The Catalan club had talks with Leipzig on the matter, but the move did not happen.
“There wasn’t even time to think about a transfer, it was all too fast,” said Olmo in an interview with Suddeutsche Zeitung.
The 23-year-old added that he is now focused on his season with Leipzig and has expressed a desire to play, both in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League, where his side will face Manchester City at Etihad on Wednesday in the first round of Group A.
Barcelona Manager Mateu Alemany was reluctant to talk about players not playing for his club but admitted he had contact on several potential offensive options which ultimately resulted in Luuk de Jong signing from Sevilla.
