Brenner joins Udinese from Cincinnati as new signing

Udinese have officially confirmed the signing of Brenner Sousa da Silva from Cincinnati. The 23-year-old Brazilian striker will move to Stadio Friuli on July 1 and the transfer will cost Udinese a base fee of 10 million euros with allowances and a percentage of the sale.

Born in Cuiabá, Brazil, Brenner took his first football steps in São Paulo, where he rose through the ranks, playing a total of 56 senior matches and scoring 24 goals. His loan move at Fluminense, which lasted from May to December 2019, didn’t quite pan out as he only played five games before returning to his parent club, and in February 2021 Cincinnati paid just under €12 million to convert it to MLS.

In 2023, Brenner played seven games and scored one goal, helping his team to the top spot in the Eastern Conference with the same record as New England.

Udinese are pleased to announce the signing of Brenner Souza da Silva. Official statement is reading.

“The Brazilian striker has been fully signed by Cincinnati and signed with the Black and Whites until June 30, 2028.”
