Brahim Diaz in Line for New Real Madrid Contract

The loan term that Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz is still playing for AC Milan is coming to an end and it looks like Los Blancos have decided to make him part of their project from next season.

Diaz has scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists in 106 appearances in all competitions for the Rosseneri since joining them on a two-year deal in the summer of 2021 and was instrumental in their Serie A triumph last season. He also scored the decisive goal in this season’s Champions League round of 16 against Tottenham Hotspur.

Real Madrid are in danger of losing Toni Kroos or Luka Modric or maybe both at the end of the season. Two well-established world-class players will not be easy to replace, but it is believed that Los Blancos are working very hard on it. With players like Eduardo Camavinga and Aurélien Chuameni, they are reportedly in the race for the services of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.

But happy with the way Diaz has developed at Milan, they are likely to question the apparent need to spend more than €100m on England when what they need may already be in their hands.

Diaz currently has a contract with Real Madrid until 2025 and it looks like they want him to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu longer. According to Fabrizio Romano, a proposal for a new contract has already been prepared for the 23-year-old Spaniard.
