German football club Bayern Munich announced today, Friday, that it has withdrawn the services of coach Julian Nagelsmann, less than two years after he took on the task of coaching the Bavarian giants.

And Bayern Munich released an official statement saying: “Bayern Munich have decided to drop coach Julian Nagelsmann.”

He added: “This decision was made by CEO Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic, a member of the board of directors, after consultation with club president Herbert Hainer.”

The club thanked their former coach via their official Twitter account: Oliver Kahn: “On behalf of myself and Bayern, I would like to thank Julian and his coaching team. I wish you all the best for the future.”

At the same time, Bayern Munich also announced the appointment of German Thomas Tuchel, former Chelsea manager, as Bayern coach.

The statement said: “Tuchel signs a contract until June 30, 2025 and will train the team for the first time next Monday.”
