Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick still hopeful of David Alaba stay

Head coach Hansi Flick states that he remains hopeful that David Alaba will decide to sign a new contract at Bayern Munich.

Head coach Hansi Flick has firmly insisted that he remains positive about keeping David Alaba at Bayern Munich in the long term.

The defender, who has been at the Allianz Arena since 2011, is being linked with a transfer somewhere else with his contract due to end in 2021.

Nevertheless, at a time when the Austria international is still a regular in the starting lineup, Flick has recommended that the 28-year-old might have second ideas about an exit.

Talking to press reporters at an interview, Flick stated: “I feel he’s the very same as last season, very focused, loud on the pitch, one of the players who leads our defence. For me, there’s no distinction in between now and last season.

” I’m not worrying myself with [a January transfer] at all today. I still hope he’ll sign with Bayern since I think he understands what the situation is like here inMunich It’s a lot of enjoyable to train with a team with a good environment here, we play effective football and this club is one of the very best in the world.

“The conditions are top for every player right now and I think he’ll think twice about changing that.”

Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid are amongst the clubs who are stated to hold an interest in the player.
