It is worth noting that the Catalan club leased Joao Felix from Atlético Madrid without an option to buy.
While Joao Cancelo was included on loan from Manchester City with no option to buy.

Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director, confirmed that the team is ready to retain the duo of Felix and Cancelo if they shine with the team.
Deco said at a conference introducing him as the team’s sporting director: “Neither Cancelo nor Felix have a purchase option, it’s a simple one-year loan.
He continued: “If they do a good job, we’ll try to keep them, but at the moment it’s just a loan.
Regarding Joao Felix’s contract, he said: “He put a lot of effort into coming to us. I can’t tell you much about players’ contracts.”
He stressed: “They arrived at the last minute and are players who make a big contribution to the team. They must show their abilities here.”
He concluded: “Barcelona has the power to inspire. We expect a lot from them, but the season will tell us how his fate will turn out.
