    Barcelona’s Remontada Triumphs Over Espanyol’s Spontaneous Gift to Real Madrid

    The “wounded” club Espanyol imposed a draw on their guest Atlético Madrid (3:3) in a match that brought them together last night, Wednesday, as part of the 36th round of the Spanish Football League.

    Atlético Madrid got off to a strong start and moved forward, scoring three consecutive goals scored by Spaniard Saul Niguez, Frenchman Antoine Griezmann and Belgian Yannick Carrasco in minutes (21, 44, 46) respectively.

    However, the Espanyol club came back again, achieving a strong “Remontada”, also scoring three goals in a row, through each of the Mexican defender Cesar Montes, the Brazilian striker Josela and the Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Sousa in minutes (64, 76 from penalties, 79) respectively.

    Espanyol have raised their tally to 35 points and sit nineteenth in the league table to continue their fight to stay in the top flight.

    The Espanyol team also did a great service to the Real Madrid team, who retained second place in the league with 74 points.

    After this disappointing draw, Atlético Madrid picked up one point to increase their tally to 73 points and remain in third place in the La Liga standings.
