The Catalan newspaper Sport reported that Arsenal wanted to include Brazilian star Rafinha and made an offer to the Catalan club, but the latter was turned down.

The newspaper indicated that the English club made an offer to buy the player for 70 million euros in January last year during the winter transfer period, but Barça chose to keep the player.

The team sticks to the Brazilian star despite Arsenal’s pressure on Barcelona with a large sum of money, but the administration is betting on the player for the future despite criticism of his demise.

The newspaper also reported that English club Arsenal were previously interested in including Rafinha during the last summer transfer period.

But the deal was settled for the Catalan club after Barcelona outclassed him in completing the deal, in addition to being rejected by Barcelona also last January with a large sum.
