Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong has revealed the reason behind his hard-fought win against Cadiz in the second round of the 2023/24 La Liga.
The Catalan club managed to defeat Cadiz in the match at the Montjuïc Stadium with two clean goals from Pedri and Ferran Torres.
Thanks to this, Barça raised their score to 4 points and finished fourth in the La Liga standings.

De Jong said in statements after the meeting, “Lamin has a lot of talent and he must keep working because he has many years ahead of him.”
He continued: “We didn’t have many chances, but it’s good that we have players who can score goals.
And he stressed: “Today we suffered again, but, fortunately, we won, and this is the most important thing in order to gain confidence and start winning matches. We played well, but it’s true that we can create more danger.”
He continued, “We need luck. I think we have a sense of purpose in the team. We must keep creating and the goals will be achieved.”
He concluded: “All matches are very important and Barcelona must always win. When the 70th minute comes and you still don’t score… it will cost you more.”
