Barcelona Sets Sights on Signing Vitor Roque – Latest Football Updates

Barcelona are in talks to sign Vitor Roque from Atlético Paranaense. HOW. By all appearances, the Catalan club considers the Brazilian teenager a real eye-catcher and is keen to get ahead of any potential rivals for his signature.

Roque took his first football steps at America MG, which he left to join Cruzeiro at under-17 level. Atlético Paranaense made their move and signed him for a reported fee of around 4.7 million euros last April. Since then, he has scored 11 goals and provided three assists in 42 matches for his current club, and even made his debut for Brazil last month, playing 25 minutes in a friendly loss against Morocco.

Primarily a centre-forward, Roque is quite capable of playing on either wing, and his talents are attracting the attention of other clubs across Europe as well.

The 18-year-old’s contract runs until the end of May 2027 and Atlético are in a strong position when it comes to any transfer talks and they have apparently already turned down a €25m offer from Barcelona.
