Enrique Cerezo, president of Atlético Madrid, has raised controversy over the future of Portuguese striker João Felix, a Barcelona player.
In the summer of 2023, the Catalan club signed Felix from Atlético Madrid on a one-year loan.
Latest developments in João Felix’s future at Barcelona
Enrique Cerezo explained in an interview with the press: “Joao Felix will be one of the best players in Europe. I wish him all the best in Barcelona.”
He continued: “He is on loan to them, but if Barca want to sign him permanently, they will certainly have the opportunity to do so, otherwise he will come back to us.”
He concluded: “In my opinion, João Felix is playing very well for the Catalan club.”
Deco, Barcelona’s sporting director, spoke to Radio Catalunya about the future of Felix and Cancelo, saying: “Without a doubt, we want to keep this duo in the team next season and for the future. “They are important players for the team and they are both happy here.”
Deku continued, “It’s too early to talk about this matter, but we will think about negotiations and would be happy to have them with us.”
