Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported on Wednesday that Al-Nasr, who finished second in the Saudi Arabian Professional Football League, is close to reaching an agreement with Barcelona to sign French defender Clement Lenglet.
A report in the newspaper, known for its coverage of the Catalan team, says that Barcelona want to get rid of Lenglet, who spent last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur.
She pointed out that the 28-year-old defender was not part of manager Xabi Hernandez’s plans for the new season and that the former Sevilla player was close to moving back to Tottenham before a victory appeared in the picture.

The newspaper said that Barcelona did not expect to benefit much financially from the player’s transfer deal, but his departure was a priority as his contract runs until 2026.
The newspaper did not reveal Lenglet’s stance on the idea of a move to Al Nasr, adding that he would like to continue his career in Europe but the player’s salary could play a role in his changing his mind.
Spanish defender Alvaro Gonzalez left Al Nasr after the end of last season.
Al-Nasr has done well in the current transfer period, signing Brazilian Alex Telles and Croatian Marcelo Brozovic, as well as Seiko Fofan, who came from Côte d’Ivoire.
