Spanish club Barcelona are set to snatch the Girona star during the upcoming winter transfer window in January 2024.
Blaugrana officials, led by Joan Laporta, are keen to strengthen the ranks of the Catalan club’s first team, especially after Barca’s fluctuating levels during the current period.
On the sidelines, the newspaper reported:Mundo Deportivo“In his report, Deco, sporting director of the Blaugrana Castle, intends to include a Girona star based on the coach of the Spanish team, Javi Hernandez.
Barca want to include Brazilian star Savinho, the Girona striker who is on loan from Troyes, despite strong interest from England’s Manchester City in securing the player’s services.
It is worth noting that 19-year-old Savinho has outstanding skills: in 13 Spanish league matches with Girona, he was able to score 4 goals and give 4 assists.
Barcelona face a crisis in attracting Girona star
Barca faces at least three difficulties when bringing in a player: firstly, priority will be given to him remaining with his club in the league, and that if he is put up for sale, it will be at a very high price. Thirdly, if the player establishes himself as a star, City’s promotion will be a priority.
Girona sporting director Kiki Carcel responded to a question about Deco’s possible interest and said: “The message that Deco loves your player fills you with pride. This actually happened to us last season with Oriol Romeu, but our goal is to keep these players because changing the whole team is a “difficult” issue of change.
