Atlético Madrid are interested in signing Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram in the summer transfer window. Fihaes. The Frenchman’s contract with Bundesliga club Mönchengladbach ended at the end of the season, and former La Liga champions Atlético want to enlist his services as a free transfer in the summer of 2023.
Thuram has been on Mönchengladbach’s list since 2019, when he joined French club Guingamp. The striker has established himself as one of the Bundesliga’s top forwards and it’s no surprise that UEFA Champions League regular Atlético are interested in signing him.
The 25-year-old, who played for France at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, has made 19 starts this season and made two Bundesliga substitutes for Mönchengladbach, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in the process. Thuram scored eight goals and provided three assists in the Bundesliga in 2020/21 and scored three goals in eight Bundesliga matches in 2020/21.
