Arsenal can improve on their excellent form in the Premier League, according to Wes Morgan, who also praised Erling Haaland’s start in the Premier League.
The Gunners are leading the title race this season, eight points clear of defending champions Manchester City.
Mikel Arteta’s side have been the team that have won the English top division this season and could end a nearly two decade long wait for the crown if they keep their composure.
But Morgan, who famously led Leicester City to the Premier League title in 2016, believes they still have a long way to go before they reach their ceiling.
Arsenal have been building for the last couple of seasons,” he told Stats Perform. “This young team is shooting at the top of the league, [it should not be a surprise].
“They will only get better and better from this experience this season. I don’t understand why they can’t continue their good work and get even better.”

“There are still many points to capture. It’s up to them to decide if they hesitate. Anything can happen in football, but Arsenal must lose.”
On the heels of Arsenal City are Leeds-born Norwegian international Haaland, whose tally of 28 goals this season brings him closer to the Premier League’s single-season record of 34.
Morgan feels he has the potential to write more history, adding, “He’s incredible. I love to look at him [with] his strength, his pace. I don’t know how I would deal with it.
“He took the Premier League by storm. I hope he breaks all records. He has set the bar high for next season, but he is a fantastic player. I’m glad he’s in the Premier League and we can watch him.”
Both teams return to action on Saturday, with Arsenal set to face Leeds United and City set to face former title rivals Liverpool.
