    Arrival of an international delegation to Damascus to study the lifting of the ban on Syrian stadiums

    The Syrian Football Association announced today, Thursday, the arrival of a joint delegation of the International Federation (FIFA) and the Asian Federation in the capital Damascus to study the possibility of lifting the ban on matches in the future.

    The Syrian Federation announced on its official Facebook page that the delegation met with the committee in charge of considering issues, chaired by Abdul Rahman Al-Khatib, Vice President of the Syrian Arab Federation.

    The Syrian Federation stated that the international delegation emphasized stepping up working with the Syrian Federation to complete all necessary steps and procedures in preparation for the possibility of gradually lifting the ban on Syrian stadiums.

    For his part, Al-Khatib emphasized that Syrian fans, eager to follow and support their teams and clubs, have high hopes for this visit as a prelude to the possibility of lifting the ban imposed on Syria from hosting international football matches for 12 many years. back.

    It is noteworthy that the visit of the delegation lasts three days, during which it is informed about the security situation and the real state of facilities in the city of Damascus.
