Valencia have reduced the partial stadium closure to three matches and a fine of up to 27,000 euros after fans racistly insulted Real Madrid striker Vinicius Junior.
The appeal committee of the Spanish Football Federation said it had decided to “partially uphold” Valencia’s appeal.
This means that the partial closure of the Mestalla Stadium took place after five matches and the original €45,000 (£39,000) fine was reduced by €18,000.

Vinicius threatened to leave the field in the second half of the La Liga game against Valencia on Sunday after the crowd yelled alleged monkey cries. General Prosecutor’s Office.
Valencia had 10 working days to appeal to the appeal committee.
Players and La Liga officials have called for the fight against racism in Spain after Sunday’s match.
Ahead of Tuesday night’s games between Real Valladolid and Barcelona, and Celta Vigo and Girona, players from both teams, as well as match officials, stood behind banners that read “Racism, outside of football.”
