    Journalist Martin Arvelo reported that Argentine star Lionel Messi has received permission from Paris Saint-Germain to travel to Saudi Arabia.

    And the Parisian club suspended its Argentine star for two weeks due to his trip to Saudi Arabia without the permission of the club, on the condition that this period is deducted from his salary and he is prohibited from entering the club or participating in training.

    Arviello, who works for ESPN, said: “Messi got permission from the administration and got approval for the trip, and after Messi’s plane left for Saudi Arabia, Paris decided to change plans and called the players to practice.”

    And the journalist wrote through his official Twitter account: “So far, no one has informed Messi about the penalty, and Leo asked Paris Saint-Germain for permission to leave, because there is a weekend.”

    He continued, “If this punishment is officially imposed, it will be an expected farewell. Messi is an exemplary professional.”

    Messi traveled to Saudi Arabia last Monday after Saint Germain’s surprise 1-3 defeat at home against Lorient in French league competition.

    Because of this punishment, Messi will miss Saint-Germain’s matches against Troyes and Ajaccio in the next two rounds of the French league.

    Messi’s contract with the Parisian club ends at the end of the current season in June 2023, and it is said that he has refused to renew his contract with the French team and is going to return to the ranks of his former team Barcelona.
