Al-Ahly Punishes Their Protector in Front of the Pyramids.

Syed Abdel Hafiz, the director of football at Al Ahli, imposed a financial fine on his player Mohamed Abdel Moneim.

Al Ahli announced on their official website that the player would be subject to a financial penalty after he was ruled out in the Egyptian Cup final against the Pyramids.

Abdel Moneim was sent off by referee Amin Omar in the 116th minute of the Pyramids match for attacking the Tunisian Fakhreddin Ben Youssef, the Pyramids forward, without the ball.

Video equipment showed Abdel Moneim attacking Ben Youssef, which caused the referee to show him a red card directly.

Abdel Moneim, 24, apologized after meeting Ben Youssef in television statements, in addition to posting a photo of the Pyramids player via Instagram, and also apologized to him.

Al Ahli won the Egyptian Cup for the 38th time in their history after beating the Pyramids 2-1 in the final match at Cairo Stadium on Monday night.
