AC Milan starts their Italian league campaign with a victorious match against Bologna.

American international Christian Pulisic led his new team AC Milan to a 2-0 away victory over neighboring Bologna today, Monday, at the end of the first leg of the Italian Football Championship.

Pulisic, who joined Milan from Chelsea this summer, made a forward pass that saw veteran French striker Olivier Giroud open the scoring for Milan after 11 minutes before Pulisic himself added a second goal shot from the edge of the box after a pass from Giroud, his former Chelsea teammate.

Bologna under former Italy Thiago Motta pressed in the second half, but Milan’s French goalkeeper Mike Magnan saved the hosts’ most visible opportunity by blocking Michel Ebischer’s close-range attempt.

Pulisic is seen as one of eight new signings by Milan during the current summer transfer period after he traded his Italian international midfielder Sandro Tonali to Newcastle in a massive €64m deal.
