Jordi Alba’s illustrious career at Barcelona will come to an end at the end of the season after the La Liga giants announced they had reached an agreement to terminate his contract.
The 34-year-old, whose current contract was due to expire at the end of the 2023/24 season, has made 458 appearances and won 19 major trophies for the club since his official debut against Real Sociedad in 2012.

Alba was born in Barcelona and worked his way through the club’s youth ranks before being allowed to leave in 2005.
He moved to Valencia, where he became a first-team regular before Barcelona brought him back to the Camp Nou in 2012.
