3 Premier League stars that could be on the move before the January transfer window closes

Chelsea busted the bank again last week when they welcomed Mihail Mudryk to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth up to £89m, clubs across England have really squandered their money this month.

With some still expecting the January transfer window could be a record one, it has been strongly suggested that we could be set for a hectic market end this month.

As teams from both ends of the Premier League table are desperate to strengthen their squads before the window closes, all eyes will soon be on Final Day.

In what could turn out to be a real time trial for many clubs, we took a look at several Premier League stars who were linked with a move at the end of January.

    Hakim Ziyech – Chelsea.

While Hakim Ziyech may have now started two Premier League matches for Chelsea, many have speculated that the ex-Ajax star could leave Stamford Bridge this month.

While the 29-year-old may have received a round of applause after leading Morocco to a historic World Cup semi-final last month, Ziyech is still waiting to open his domestic account this season.

Similarly, watching Noni Maduque and Mudrik arrive in west London last week, it is believed that the international with 50 caps will struggle to get regular first-team action under Graham Potter.

With the former European champions now focused on cutting their incredible wages before the window closes, it looks like Ziyech has a number of European fans.

Along with rumors of a potential shock move to London rivals Tottenham, Spanish edition Sport Barcelona are reported to be monitoring Ziyech’s current situation.

The report also states that the Potter team is open to a possible swap deal that will include Ivory Coast midfielder Frank Kessy.

    Anthony Gordon – Everton.

Not even coming off the bench after Everton lost 2-0 to West Ham on Saturday afternoon, it looks like Anthony Gordon will almost certainly leave Goodison Park this month.

While the England under-21 star could have played a vital role as the Toffees expanded their Premier League status last season, Gordon has been unable to find any form this time around.

As the 21-year-old has scored just one top-flight goal since late August, the homegrown Everton star has quickly fallen out of favor in Merseyside and his relationship with fans has become toxic.

However, while relegation supporters might have dismissed Chelsea’s attractive £60m approach last summer, 90min reported over the weekend that Goodison’s hierarchy had changed its stance.

Exactly the same with daily mail Having reported last week that high-profile Premier League players Newcastle are interested in a quick deal this month, it has also been suggested that Gordon himself is interested in leaving.

    Michael Antonio – West Ham

While Michael Antonio may have once again led West Ham’s lead in Saturday’s decisive 2-0 win over Everton, it looks like the 32-year-old has been replaced by David Moyes.

When the Hammers announced a £15m signing of Danny Ings from Aston Villa last weekend, Antonio made it clear he could be open to leaving the London stadium this month.

Last season’s Europa League semi-finalists are also still linked with the signing of Lorient striker Terem Moffi, the Jamaican has only scored five Premier League goals in the last 12 months and only two of them this season.

Likewise, with summer rookie Gianluca Scamacca being the number one option for Moyes at the top, Antonio does have a lot of top-tier fans before the window slams shut.

Along with interest from other relegation rivals Wolves and Everton, The keeper it was also reported that last week Chelsea attempted a shock jump for the national team with seven caps.
